BOB FAStag: Ever since the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has taken digital economy in hands, the payment systems in India have seen complete turnover. Introducing FASTag technologies to make toll payment on highways is combined contribution of to NPCI National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) & Indian Highways Management Company Limited (IHMCL) to India’s digital economy.
What is FASTag?
FASTag allows you to digitally make payment of toll on highways without stopping your car. It has been designed using RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) Technology. Just like our mobile internet pack recharge, you can recharge fastag any number of times. In order to use FASTag, you must have valid registered vehicle. As government of India has given the FASTag authority to deduct amount of toll from your prepaid balance. If you are Bank of Baroda customer, then you can visit your branch and demand for FASTag account opening. If you want to open FASTag account directly online, then follow the steps as mentioned below.
How to Open Baroda FASTag Account?
BOB provided their customers to open FASTag account in online mode. To apply online, you will need to keep following things ready. You can take picture of your documents before you start applying for FASTag account.
ID proof documents

- PAN card
Address Proof Documents
- Driving Licence
- Voter ID
- Electricity Bill
- Water Bill
- Income Tax certificate
- Telephone Bill
- Lease Agreement
- Home Tax Bill
- Vehicle front image
- Vehicle side image
- RC front side image
- RC back side image
Any one of the above documents will suffice for online application. In case you are customer of Bank of Baroda, then you will have to provide your account number while applying for FASTag, so keep your BOB account passbook with you.
Step 1: Visit https://www.bankofbaroda.in/baroda-fast-new-tag.htm
Step 2: Click on the Buy Now link provided in the right corner.
Step 3: Here you will be directed to new page where you have to enter details for creationg your FASTag account.
Select whether you are existing BOB customer or not and enter all your details correctly. Check on ‘I agree to the Terms and Conditions‘ and Click on ‘Next‘
Step 4: Here you will have to enter your ‘communication address details‘ as FASTag will be delivered at the provided address.
Enter valid mobile number and click on ‘Verify with OTP‘ link. OTP will be sent to the entered mobile number. As you click on the link a new box will popup prompting you to enter OTP.
Enter the OTP that that your received on your phone and click on ‘Submit’. And finally click on ‘Next’ at bottom.
Step 5: You will be taken to the next page where you have to enter details of your vehicle.
You will have to enter exact contact details in the email ID and mobile no. fields. As you will be communicated through these mediums once your FASTag account is setup.
Upload the Vehicle images and RC document proofs and click on ‘Add’. You will be able to see the new section of added vehicles where all your vehicles details are displayed. Now click on ‘Next’
Step 6: Now you will directed to next page where you will have to make payment. You can see your customer ID displayed on this page and amount which you have to pay to complete your ‘BOB FASTag account’ setup.
After completing payment, you will receive a confirmation email as well as message on the mobile number that you provided.
BOB FASTag Login
Step 1: Visit https://fastag.bankofbaroda.com/Default.aspx
Step 2: Enter your Username and Password in the login field
Verify Captcha and click on ‘Login’.
You will be logged in to your account. You can check your account transaction history and balance details.
How to Recharge BOB FASTag using UPI
As mentioned earlier, FASTag is prepaid acount, so you will have to maintain balance in your account whenver you are planning for journey to drive switfly at toll point. Note that you will have to recharge minimum of INR 100 to your account.
VPA (Virtual Payment Address) to recharge for BOB FASTag using UPI is: netc.VRN@barodampay
VRN is Vehicle Registration number of your car. In order to recharge your FASTag you may use above address. Please refer the example below.

You can also use Chassis number to make UPI payment in the below format

BOB FASTag FAQ
Ans: No. You will have to register each vehicle separately. Also you can’t use the same FASTag on two different vehicles. This will result in blacklisting of your FASTag.
Ans: You will have separate lane for FASTag at tolls. You will have to enter into that lane only in order to use FASTag balance.
Ans: As per government directives, FASTags are valid for 5 years.
Ans: Baroda FASTag has a onetime Fee of Rs.84.74 + (GST). Along with this you will have to maintain refundable security deposit, which depends on the vehicle type.
