Link LPG Subsidy to Bank Account, Check Status: Government of India has implemented many digital programs to ensure the welfare amount reaches to person intended to receive it. DBTL initiative by Indian government has been proved to be a revolutionary process in social welfare schemes. Under DBT, Direct Benefits Transfer, government of India provides direct money transfer to subscribers account. Higher income group families won’t be eligible for this scheme.

What is PAHAL DBTL scheme?
Government of India launched the PAHAL (DBTL) scheme on for the first time in the year 2013. At that time the scheme required consumer to mandatorily have an Aadhaar number for availing LPG Subsidy. The GOI then reviewed the scheme and after examining the difficulties faced by the consumer substantively modified the scheme. After modification in year 2014 it covered only 54 districts. Later on government launched the second phase in rest of the country on 1.1.2015.
How to Enroll for LPG Subsidy
For enrolling to LPG subsidy scheme, you are mandatorily required to have a bank account. You have to first ensure few things first.
For consumers with Aadhar card:
1. LPG Consumer name matches with Bank account holder name
The LPG connection and bank account should mandatorily be of the same consumer. LPG subsidy linking won’t be possible if the names mismatch.
2. Subsidy can be availed up to 12 cylinders per year
Consumer can claim for LPG subsidy only for 12 cylinders per year. This means you won’t receive subsidy for more than 12 cylinder in any particular year.
3. Adhaar card should be linked to bank account number
It is must that customers visit their base branch and get their Aadhar card linked with their account number. You should ask the branch for the Aadhar card linking form for LPG subsidy.
Your branch will then map your aadhar card number with NPCI. This will take couple of days to reflect in the system. Once the linking is done, you are ready to receive LPG subsidy to your account.
4. Ensure your total family income limit
Families with annual income of more than Rs. 10 lakhs are not eligible to receive LPG subsidy.
For consumers without Aadhar card:
If you do not have an Aadhaar number, then you can directly receive subsidy in your bank account without the use of Aadhaar number. Subsidy linking without aadhar card number was introduced as modified version of the scheme.
With this option it is ensured that LPG subsidy is not denied to any LPG consumer on account of lack of Aadhaar number.
You can present bank account information such as account holder name, account number, IFSC code to the LPG distributor.
OR
Present LPG consumer information (17 digit LPG consumer ID) to your bank.
How to Link Bank account for LPG Subsidy?
After ensuring the above mentioned prerequisites, customer is supposed to visit the branch regarding linking of bank account for LPG subsidy.
Step 1: Fill up the DBTL transfer form at the branch
Step 2: Enter your account details, your name and 17 digits LPG consumer ID
Step 3: Sign with your name and account number on the form
Step 4: Get a copy of LPG subsidy to bank account linking form
Step 5: Submit the original copy to your branch and submit the copy to LPG service provider
Your LPG service provider will then update the details in their system. It will take another couple of days for the process to complete. After it is complete, your account will start receiving LPG subsidy from next cylinder purchase.
How to Check for LPG Subsidy Enrollment Status Online
You will have to wait for at least a week to check LPG subsidy enrollment status online. Consumer will first have to ensure the service provider first. There are many LPG cylinder provider in the country viz., Bharat Gas, Hindustan Petroleum, Indane Gas etc.
To check the LPG subsidy enrollment status online, follow the below mentioned steps:
LPG subsidy Status for Bharat Gas
Step 1: Visit LPG portal of government at mylpg.in
Select Bharat gas cylinder image as shown below.
This will direct you to the official portal of ‘My Bharatgas’.
Step 2: On this page, click on ‘Give feedback’ link
Step3: Here you will have enter all of your details. Follow the procedure mentioned below
Enter your registered mobile number
Or
Your LPG ID which seventeen digits number and will be starting with 1
Or
Enter details of State, District, Distributor and your LPG consumer Number
In other information section
Select feedback type any of the options from dropdown menu.
Click on ‘Next’
Step 4: Now under ‘Register an Interaction’ section, you can see all the details.
In front of consumer number see the status, if you can see (Status: Active) then your LPG subsidy is linked with bank account.
Also under ‘Refill History’ section, you can see all the recent advance subsidy amount and subsidy status to your bank account.
LPG Subsidy linking status for Indane Gas
Step 1: Visit LPG portal by Government of India, mylpg.in
Step 2: Click on ‘Indane’ gas cylinder image. This will take you to the official website of Indane gas
Step 3: Click on “Give feedback” link. You will be directed to official customer support page of ‘Indian Oil’.
Step 4: Select LPG link on this page
Step 5: A new box will appear on the screen just type ‘check LPG status’ and click on ‘Proceed’.
Step 6: On this page, you have to select category. Click on ‘Subsidy Related (PAHAL)’ link and sub category as ‘Subsidy not received’
Step 7: On the page ‘Help Us Identify You’, you can enter your registered mobile number or 17 digit LPG ID. However, it will be easy for you to enter your registered mobile number.
Verify captcha and click on Submit.
On this page you can see, all the status of your recent orders, date of orders, delivery date, subsidy amt etc. Bank DOS shows date of subsidy transfer to your bank account.
If you are able to see this page, then your Indane gas subsidy is linked to your bank account.
LPG subsidy status for HP Gas:
Follow the same process to visit the official website of HP Gas as mentioned above.
Step 1: Click on the ‘Give Feedback’ link
Step 2: Click here for complaint/Feedback button.
Step 3: You will be directed to next page where you will have to fill up the form with details as follows:
Select interaction type as ‘Grievance’
Are you consumer of HP Gas? Check ‘Yes’
Name: Enter your name
State:
District:
Your Distributer Name:
Consumer No.:
Select Category as ‘DBTL (Pahal)’ and subcategory as Direct Benefit of Cash Subsidy (DBTL)
Enter description as ‘I want to check whether my account is linked with HP Gas subsidy or not’
Click on ‘Submit’ by entering captcha
Step 4: Note down the Case Id on the next page. It will take some time in order to receive response from HP Gas. They will resolve your case and respond you.
You can track your complaint status as follows.
Step 1: Go to myhpgas.in
Step 2: Click on ‘Give Feedback’ link.
Step 3: In the left sidebar click on ‘Track Complaints’
On this page, click on the correct period of complaint registration.
Enter the case ID that you noted down above and click on search button.
The status of your case will be displayed.
FAQs for PAHAL- DBTL subsidy scheme
Ans: You must ensure that you don’t have more than one accounts linked for DBTL benefits. If you have already linked with some other bank, then first check the LPG linking status with that bank.
Ans: It normally takes 2 to 7 days after purchase of gas cylinder. You will receive message from your LPG connection provider as well as bank regarding the transferred subsidy amount.
Ans: This normally occurs due to your Aadhar is not mapped with NPCI. For this, you should visit your bank and ask them to map your aadhar with NPCI. The bank official will guide you for further process.
