PSB Net Banking Step by Step Guide

Punjab & Sind Bank is a Public Sector Bank with 1559 branches spread throughout India. Out of these 1559 branches, 623 branches are in Punjab state. The bank has stronger presence in Punjab state. PSB also provides digital services to their customers which includes net banking facility. The bank was nationalized in 1980. Government of India owns over 80% stake in Punjab and Sind Bank.

How to Register for PSB net banking facility?

For a new customer willing to avail Punjab and Sind Bank net banking facility, this guide will provide step by step actions. Before you proceed, ensure that you have following in handy for completing the registration process.

1. Your Bank Passbook
2. Registered mobile Number with bank
3. Date of Birth as provided to bank
4. PAN Card

It is important to note that the mobile number must be the one where you are receiving SMS alert regarding bank transactions. Also your date of birth should be the same one that you provided to the bank while opening your account.

For Retail customers:

You should go with Retail net banking registration process if you have a saving bank account or a current bank account with self mode of operation.

Step 1: Visit the official website of Punjab & Sind Bank. www.psbindia.com

Step 2: Under Internet Banking link select Retail banking and click on it

Step 3: On this page you have to click on Proceed to Login link which is a red button on the page.

Step 4: Now a new window will popup prompting you to enter details of net banking.

On this page, click on the link ‘For New User Registration’ as shown in below image

Step 5: On the next page, click on ‘New User Registration’ link again

Step 6: Here you have to enter the User ID in the box and submit. User ID is your customer ID provided by the bank.

Fill the complete details as asked and complete the registration.

After you complete registration a request Id will be generated for Punjab & Sind Bank net banking. This request Id is valid for 15 days. The generated ‘Request ID’ will be sent on your registered mobile number.

Internet banking activation and login password generation SMS will be sent to your registered mobile number within 72 hours of the process. You have to complete the PSB net banking activation process by setting up login password within 15 days. If login password is not generated within 15 days, then you will have to repeat all the steps mentioned above from the beginning.

How to Generate password for PSB internet banking?

Punjab & Sind bank provides password generation for three types of users viz., online registered users, branch registered users and forgot login password. You can choose the type of user you are and then set your password accordingly. Follow the steps mentioned below.

1. Online Registered Users

Step 1: Go to the login page of PSB net banking as mentioned in above section.

Step 2: Click on password generation.

Step 3: Click on ‘Online Registered User’ link and you will be on the page of password generation.

Step 4: Enter the details of your PSB net banking user ID, registered mobile number and request ID.

Step 5: You will receive OTP on your mobile number.

Validate received OTP and submit.

Step 6: Now set up the new ‘Login password’ for your account. This will be fresh password that you will use to login to Net banking services.

2. Branch Registered Users

If you have registered for PSB net banking by submitting net banking form at the branch, then you should click on this option.

Step 1: Enter User ID or Customer ID, Request ID and registered mobile number.

Step 2: You will receive OTP on your mobile, validate OTP received on your registered number.

Step 3: Generate Login Password.

You can now login to Internet Banking with User Id & newly generated Password.

3. Forgot Login password

Step 1: Enter Your User ID and submit.

Step 2: Enter registered Mobile Number to receive OTP on your Mobile.

Step 3: Validate OTP received on your registered Mobile.

Step 4: Enter your Account number and Debit Card Details.

Step 5: Generate your new login password.

Step 6: In case you want to generate transaction password, then after login to PSB net banking account, got to “preferences” option in menu and regenerate new password.

If you get the message ‘User ID is disabled’, then you will have to visit your branch.

Instant Fund transfer: Punjab & Sind Bank offers instant fund transfer facility to their customers through internet banking. You can transfer money within your bank or to other bank easily. Adding beneficiary is simple process in internet banking.

Cheque book request: You can place a request for new cheque book. Also hold the payment on already issued cheque using net banking facility.

Payment of loan installment: You can easily make payment of loan installments through net banking facility. PSB provides easy transfer of installment amount from your savings bank account to your loan account. You can even make advance installment payment by specifying the same through net banking.
