Central Bank of India Net Banking: Central Bank of India is one of the oldest Public Sector Banks of India. It is also one amongst those 14 banks that were nationalized in the year 1969. How to Register for Central bank of India Net banking
The CBI has spread their banking operations in digital area too. The bank provides various services to their customers.
How to Register for CBI Net Banking for new user
New user has to visit the home branch in person to apply for Central Bank of India net banking services. Ask for the net banking application form

Customers having Savings/OD/CD accounts with the Central Bank of India branches and intending to opt for Internet Banking facility may submit the above application form to their respective branches where they are maintaining their accounts.

On receipt of the duly filled in application form, the process of registering their application for CBI Internet Banking will start.
The Bank will dispatch to the customers passwords for Login and Transaction separately.
Upon receipt of the passwords, customers need to visit the branch for collecting the User ID (Customer ID) and activating the Internet Banking facility.
How to Login to Internet Banking For Existing Users
Step 1: For existing users of Central Bank of India in order to avail the facility of net banking, one has to reach top right corner link of ‘Login’ in red.
Step 2: Select ‘Internet Banking’ link in the dropdown list as in the picture below.
Step 3: You will be directed to a new page where you will again have to choose Login link for Personal Internet Banking or Corporate Internet Banking as per your account type. If you have simple saving bank account then go for Blue colored login link if you have current account or business account then click on red colored Login link.
How to Set CBI Internet Banking Password
Central Bank of India provides their customers the ability to change their password directly through online mode. Both retail as well as corporate customers can easily set, change their login as well as transaction password through online mode. In order to set/reset password, you must have first registered for net banking through the procedure mentioned above.
For Retail Users
Mainly, you can generate new password using ‘Debit card details and Date of Birth’, ‘KYC and Account Number’ or ‘Answering a security question’. We have mentioned steps for each of these methods below.
1. Password reset with Debit Card details and Date of Birth
Ensure that the card is linked with your account number and active.
Step 1: Visit net banking portal of central bank of India www.centralbank.net.in
Step 2: Click on the ‘Login’ link.
Step 3: Click here to proceed.
Step 4: Without entering your user id click on ‘Online password’ link on the top right corner.
Step 5: Enter your 10 digits Central bank of India CIF number or User ID and check the option of debit card.
Step 6: Enter customer number and registered mobile number and click on generate button
You will receive SMS on your registered mobile number which will be valid for 180 seconds.
Step 7: Click on Next button, screen will come where customer will enter CIF user ID and recently received SMS password immediately.
Now you can change or set a new password as per allowed password policy. The password that you create will be applicable from you next sign in.
2. Reset password using Security Question
This method of password change is only applicable to the existing customers who have availed net banking facility. New customers can’t use this method to generate their login password.
Step 1: Go to the login page and select ‘Online Password‘ link
Step 2: Enter valid user ID
Step 3: Select method ‘Answer Security question’ and select the question that you have already set at the time of first login to net banking.
Step 4: Enter the answer exact answer that you already have set for this question.
Step 5: Next you will be directed to Generate the password screen
Step 6: Enter user ID and mobile number & generate a new password
3. Password reset using KYC and Account Number
This method can be used by both ‘New’ as well as ‘Existing users’. Ensure that the identification document that you select using this method is the same document that you submitted to bank at the time of account opening.
Step 1: Enter User ID
Step 2: Select ‘KYC + Account Number’ option
Step 3: Enter details and submit
Step 4: Enter User ID and mobile number to generate password
For corporate users
Step 1: Click on Online password
Step 2: Enter corporate ID, Personal ID and the registered mobile number. Mobile number should start with country code i.e., for India use 91 before your mobile number.
Step 3: Click on the online generate
Step 4: OTP will be generated on the number linked to Personal ID.
Step 5: Enter the login credentials and use the OTP as login OTP.
Step 6: Now you can change password for your CBI Net banking account.
You can also change the transaction password after you login. For that you have to login to your corporate net banking account. Go to main menu and click on ‘Transaction Password generation’ link and proceed to change the password. Note that your login and transaction passwords must be different.
What are Internet Banking Services
Presently CBI net banking provides following facilities:
1. Balance enquiry in the Accounts.
2. Cheque status enquiry.
3. Display of transactions for a specified period/ current period.
4. Download/ print of statement of account in various formats for a specified period/ current period.
5. Funds transfer between own accounts.
6. Funds transfer between own account to any third party account maintained in any core banking branch up to specified limits.
7. Stop payment of cheques.
